Qualification & Seeding Rules

  • All qualification and seeding is based on playoff performance during the 2017 calendar year.
  • Ranking is similar to regular league night scoring.
  • For every playoffs you place in the top 3, you will receive one point for every person you finish above in the standings for that playoffs.
  • The player with the highest ranking will receive the highest seed, and so on.
  • Ties will be broken by a single seeding game prior to play.

The first of our annual CCPL championship tournaments, CCPL is organizing a tournament to declare the 2016 CCPL champion. The tournament is limited to qualifying players only.
This tournament format will be "Royal Rumble" style match play until only a single player remains.

Note: WPPR Points ARE NOT awarded for this tournament

Top winner receives the coveted 2016 CCPL Championship trophy
  • Doors open at noon for practice and participation in the 2016 CCPL Winter Cup
  • This tournament will run in parallel with the (optional) 2016 CCPL Winter Cup
  • You must qualify to participate
  • First match starts at 2:00pm
  • Format is a "Royal Rumble" style match play tournament
  • Top winner receives the coveted 2016 CCPL Championship trophy and bragging rights for a whole year

Royal Rumble Match Play

  • Each round will consist of a one game match between the bottom 4 remaining seeds
  • The loser of the match is eliminated from the tournament
  • The next highest ranked seed replaces the eliminated player and another 4 player match is played
  • This pattern continues until there are three remaining players.
  • The final three players will play a single three player match, with the loser being eliminated.
  • The final two players will play a single two player match.
  • Winner of the final match will be declared the 2016 CCPL Champion!
